Not sure if the italicized text is significant. Bizarrely the connection seems to partially work. Every attempt to update by myself using every possible version from 7, 8, and 10 either 32 or 64 bit system is 64 bit Lenovo Thinkpad w results in error of “Failed to migrate” and also in the event logs “Device needs further installation.
If many people complain to them and telling them they will switch to other manufacturer then they may do something about it. And the more I look, the more I am seeing thousands of people everywhere starting to have similar issues.

I had same network chip onboard, disabled it, got a new network card from different manufacturer for sure will not be from Intel anymoreand everything is fine now.
I think it is the problem of windows.
Choose the older driver that you say worked and remove the newer one that you say doesn’t. Hopefully this above information helps someone resolve the issue. This team deals with the issue you are facing.

Recently I found a quicker way to fix this, I can open device manager and right click on the lan card and select scan for hardware changes and it would load the correct driver and it’s working fine again.
