Hi Keith, did you catch Splitpins post. Lenz have not abandoned the USB interface. We have developed an alternative method for connecting to an XpressNet based system which should windkws to be more cost effective on XpressNet based systems that do not support programming or feedback via the LI, LIF, or LIF computer interfaces, or for those who are interested in experimenting with computer control, but don’t need all the features supported by the Lenz interfaces.
Back in the shed at last, and I downloaded the Lenz drivers for windows 10 from the Lenz website. Lenz Elektronik Li Usb 2. It seemed straight forward enough but take care and do read the instructions very closely.
I have a LH and lnez LH No worries me thinks – get a USB-Serial converter cord and we’re away. Finally my PC got up to speed!

This system uses the Lenz XpressNet Phone Adapter and a Hayes Compatible modem to provide control of locomotives and stationary decoders.
It is unknown at this point in time if we can control either an Elite or a Select using one of the other interfaces. A quick update on this peeps.
Any adapter s present will reply with their NetBios name, which can then be selected. You must log in or sign up to reply here. If it’s made by Belkin or such and costs around GBP50 it’ll work as it should – Windoze will handle it’s drivers and updates with aplomb, but if it’s on eBay for GBP2 it’s a nasty cheap Chinese pirate chip – it’ll come with drivers that’ll li-uab work, but unless you can protect those drivers from updates which is a pain, and not what you want to do – it’ll fail in days.
I upgraded yesterday and the driver for the USB interface has disappeared For programming in service mode, the LocoMaus 2 appears to only be able to write to CV’s.
